IZ’s penchant for singing and song writing has culminated in his first yet-to-be released EP titled “Gonna Be Alright“ containing songs he wrote whilst being on the Asian version of American Idol in Malaysia called One In A Million.
“Gonna Be Alright”, being his debut single and also the title track from the EP, is currently
enjoying airplays both in Malaysia (XFresh, HitZ, Fly FM) and Australia (JOY, Nova FM, Triple J) since March 2008, shortly after 8TV’s One In A Million Season 2 ended late February 2008. It is currently No. 2 onFlyFM’s CampurChart, a music chart that feature local musical talents and filled mostly with rock bands.
The song got chosen as the theme song for a Malay telemovie on ASTRO RIA, where IZ made his acting debut opposite Nora Danish (well-known Malay actress) who is also being featured on his Malay single, “Bersama,Together” due for release on local Malay radios soon.
IZ recorded “Gonna Be Alright“ two days after being
eliminated from the reality TV show where he was the Top 9 ex-finalist and was nicknamed, Drama King by viewers of the show and is also known for his individual fashion sense by many.
Thru his debut single, IZ wants everybody to know that his journey has just begun as he intends to ride the wave he had created throughout One In A Million Season 2, and to also quench the thirsts of his newfound fans and supportersfor his smooth singing voice with the recording of his debut EP, which marks his entrance as an artist.
The reason behind the recording of this EP is also because IZ is aware that it is important for him to keep the momentum going and to take advantage of the reality TV show he was on, whilst planning and strategizing for an album project simultaneously.
IZ keeps a blog, [imborntosingsongs.blogspot.com], which he regularly update during his free time as he considers it to bethe best medium for him to personally communicate with his fans and supporters acquired from the reality TV show
